Best Go Pro Alternative - AKASO Brave 4 Review

Little LCD display here on the front. Let's take it out of this for a minute. Let's actually check out the camera. It's got a nice waterproof seal here along the edge. The AKASO Brave 4 - 4K Action Camera just pops right out just like that. So yeah, my first impression of the camera is that it's actually in a pretty good quality for the price. Was expecting it to feel pretty cheap. But no, this one it feels like it's actually designed to last for a while. I think it'll be a perfect addition to my growing camera in my collection, especially for the time lapses that I plan to do with it. Best Go Pro alternative action camera actually does require a micro SD card and I just picked one up on Amazon, the SanDisk, let's see it. This one is a 64 gigabyte, it was about 12 or 13 bucks on Amazon. I'll leave the link for that in the description below.

But yeah, it does require a micro SD card. We do need to go ahead and get that formatted. So let's go ahead and do that now because we had to format the card and the camera for it to actually work, which is really simple. I'll go over how to do that right now. All right, so the first thing we're going to want to do, is go ahead and install the battery into the AKASO Brave 4 action camera. And to do that you just find a little battery slot here on the bottom, you'll put your fingernail here in this top little slot here and click it down. Just pull it right off of there, just like that, okay? And you'll take your battery and you'll line up a little charging port here with a charging port on the inside. And just snap it right in there, just like that. And then put the back back on. Let that snap in there. Now we can go ahead and install the SD card. So just get your SD card and it goes in here just like this. So front to there, slide it in there.

Wait, no, it goes, nevermind. It goes just like this. Just like that. And you might have to use your fingernail to get it to snap in there. But you snap it in there with your fingernail till it stays. And now we can go ahead and pull off the back here. It's plastic, so we can check out the actual screen. And then we'll go ahead and the power buttons located here on the front. So to turn it on and just hold that power button until you see a little camera come on. All right, says, card error, please format the card. So, that's what we're going to do now. So we've got the card in there, we're going to click okay on the top, then we're going to click the power button on the front, which is also the mode button. So click that. All right, no file. All right, so you actually click the mode button, it looks like three or four times until you pop up with the menu here. All right.

And now we're going to use these buttons here on the side, the up and down buttons to navigate through the menu. And what we're looking for is a button that says format. So we're going to keep going through until we see format.
